So after playing golf with Mike last week I kind of have the bug. So I took advantage of a mid week day off and beautiful weather and headed out to a new course. I played a course called Merrick Park. It is a course for Hempstead residents, but I was able to convince the guy to let me play. It is a 9 hole par 36 course with two Par 5's.
I was paired up with three older guys. And they could actually hit the ball. One guy Kevin I believe kept giving advice. He told me I was bringing my head up. When I was able to keep my head down I hit some really great shots. One in particular was an 8 iron form about 170 that I landed right in front of the green. When the guy asked what I hit, I told him it was an 8 iron. One of the guys used a 5 wood from the same distance. BEEFCAKE! BEEFCAKE!
With the new head down stance I blasted a ball about 80 yards out of a sand trap. I even hit one off an elevated cart path (it was sand). I got sand all over me, but I also landed it within 15 feet of the hole.
On the last whole, a 403 foot par 4, I took out my driver and wham. The verdict was in - Head down good. The ball did that launching and sailing up thing you always see at the driving range. It ended up right in the middle of the fairway right at the 150 out marker. So it was a legit 250. A pleasant way the spend an afternoon. Though nearly 3 1/2 hours for 9 holes in an awful lot. Squilky and I did better time than that for 18 at Kissena.

I am really digging the Gnarls Barkley album, Cee-Lo is just such a great singer.
Speaking of singers, thank god they finally smartened up and kicked of Zayra from Rockstar: Supernova. I think they should have kicked off Patrice as well, she could never be in the band. Though she is much more manly than Dave Navarro. But so is Brooke Burke for that matter. Ohhh BURN.
Of the remaining singers - Dilana, Magni, Toby and Ryan are legitimate contenders in my mind. Lukas, Patrice, and Storm I couldn't see leading the band. Have I mentioned that I hate Lukas, he is so fucking creepy.
I can't wait until Tuesday for my fantasy draft. My team www.tubgirl.com is going to be victorious this season, I can't wait to destroy the David Carr led Evil Fugazzi Empire.

I'm not sure that guy did killed Jonbenet. I still think it was her parents. I think this guy is just a pedophile who is obsessed with her. Or maybe he killed her I don't know. But he probably needs to go to jail either way. The world is a better place without creeps like him on the loose.
Did you know that they found him in the Philippines at a hotel in a district where people who go there as sex tourist. That's right, people spend thousands of dollars to go to the Philippines to have sex with underage prostitutes. And we are the infidels!
I wish there was a text treatment ... Like Bold or Italics that emphasized sarcasm.
